Tutti Frutti

28 July, 2010

If you love fruit as part of flower arrangements and other wedding decor as much as I do, you are going to love this little roundup! There have been some really gorgeous weddings and wedding inspiration shoots around the web recently, with tons of fresh ideas for how to incorporate different kinds of fruit into your decorations. I think these work particularly well for summery weddings, although you could easily adapt them for spring or autumn as well. Just pick your favourite fruits, use them wisely, and make sure you feed your guests enough canapes, or you might find them devouring your centrepieces during the speeches! Click on each of the links below for more fantastic inspiration.

Apples – left to right:
1. How spectacular is this abundant apple arrangement? 2. This Twilight-themed tablescape used hollowed out apples with votives as the candles, as well as apples for place settings. Love! 3. (top & bottom) Apples incorporated with flowers and antiquey silver vessels for truly elegant table arrangements.

Lemons – left to right:
1. Simple country-style arrangement that makes me think of an Italian summer. 2. Lemons enhance a tall, classical table stand. 3. Rustic loveliness on a guest book table. 4. (top) Lemons submerged in square vase with floating candles. 5. (bottom) Lemons line a ceremony aisle – so pretty!

Oranges – left to right:
1. (top) OMG, it’s oranges in an actual bouquet. How cool is that? 2. (bottom) Another pretty detail from this orange-tastic wedding. 3. Oranges also enhance tall arrangements, paired with the right flowers. 4. This minimalist design is just amazing – I love it! Click here for more stunning pics. 5. I love how these cut oranges work with the tulips to create a clean, pretty look.

Other – left to right:
1. A lovely idea with berries. 2. Pears enhance a lovely green and pink combo. 3. A collection of fruits used as a uniquely pretty country-style centrepiece.
