Go Veg

4 August, 2010

If you liked last week’s fruit post, but want to take things to the next level of originality, you are going to love today’s round-up! Vegetables have been popping up in table decor recently, and I am loving how original and organic they look. So here are some of my favourites…

The easiest way to incorporate veggies is to intersperse them with flowers and candles. The rich colours of radishes, red onions and aubergines, for example, can really brighten up a table.

For this wedding, the couple named each table after a vegetable and used seed packets as place cards. Each table was decorated with a different vegetable, and guests found the table that correlated with their seeds. Cute!

This wedding also incorporated vegetables in seating cards and place cards, as well as table decorations. I adore the elegantly rustic, farmer’s market-style feeling that it creates!

And speaking of farmer’s market themes, how much do we love this unique favour – burlap bags for guests to take home their own local produce!

And for a slightly more out there option, how about this edible bouquet?

This one’s even more out there, but I LOVE it! How incredible do those tomatoes look? The element of surprise, combined with the colour, is what gives them so much visual punch, in my opinion.

And finally, one of those pictures that makes you do a double take. I mean, peas in a vase? So surprising! But the colour, together with the pink daisy, is just amazing.

They’d be brilliant in the kitchen, wouldn’t they? You can’t go wrong with a bit of burlap! ;)

I love the rustic and natural feel of it all. It seems to add warmth and home to the air. Great finds!
