Inspiration Board: Sea Glass

2 August, 2010

For this pretty, beachy look I’ve taken inspiration from sea glass and old bottles to come up with a palette of soft greens and blues, accented with charcoal. The key, as always, is not to overuse the design element – I would only use actual sea glass for place settings, maybe having individual pieces with guests’ names written on them on top of crisp white napkins. You could decorate tables with a variety of old glass bottles, jars and vases, filled with white and some blue flowers. I also love the idea of ‘message in a bottle’ invitations, especially if they’ll be hand delivered.

Colours: Aqua, blue and green, with touches of charcoal.

Top row (l-r): Message in a bottle; chalkboard; votives; bridesmaids
Row 2: Bottles; floral hair decorations; flip flops; napkins; seaglass
Row 3: Bride and groom; sea shell necklace; tiki torches; flowers.
